Israel Mediterranean Coastline - Caesarea, Haifa, Acre & Rosh Hanikra

The western coast of Israel, the eastern shores of the Mediterranean sea, has always been very important to the region; trading, occupations, the Ma'apilim (Jewish who ran from Europe in the time of the British mandate) and nowadays, harbors and tourists cruise ships. The importance of the area had left its remains in many sites. This tour will take you there.

Drive to Caesarea along the Israeli coastal road. Visit the ancient Roman capital city, built by one of the last Jewish Kings of Israel, King Herod the Great - and Caesarea port. Take a walking tour of the theatre, archaeological ruins and the excavations. Continue to Haifa, with a scenic view of the city, the harbor and the Baha’i Gardens. Proceed to Rosh Hanikra via Nahariya to visit the limestone grottos on the border with Lebanon. Return via Acre to visit the Crusaders and Turkish underground city and crypt. Walk through the old city - UNESCO World Heritage Site - and the Oriental market, the Arab mosque and the old port.

Return to Tel Aviv.
